Lost cycles

Postby Phil Last on Wed Jan 20, 2010 7:09 pm

I've been using 12.1 on and off for a couple of months so I suppose I can't claim this loss as a showstopper but it was certainly something that was nice to have.

Edit - Find... - Direction - Up - Down - Find Next ...

Last year - or was it the year before - there was discussion in dyalogusers or perhaps a bug report pointing out the discrepancy between: Find (Down) which stopped with a "No Match" on reaching the last hit; and Find (Up) which cycled back to the last hit on Find Next after reaching the first.

This was incredibly useful. In my usual (misplaced) confidence that common sense will always win out in the end I made no comment.

I see the drive to illiminate utility in favour of uniformity has won again.

I really should try to make sure of my facts before posting shouldn't I?

Wrap Search!

What an incredibly useful new feature!

What's the emoticon for an embarrassed silence?
