Dyalog APL Meeting in Washington DC, Wednesday April 28th

Cross-posting from comp.lang.apl:

Gitte Christensen and I will be in the Washington DC area for a couple
of days following the APL2000 Conference in Bethesda. It is rather
short notice, but if there is sufficient interest, we thought we might
hold a late afternoon / early evening session on Wednesday April 28th,
on current and future developments of Dyalog APL.

We have a number of interesting features in the pipeline. In the short
term, Complex Numbers, support for 128-bit Decimal Floating-Point, a
regular expression "system operator". We can also talk about some
experimental projects aiming to support cloud computing using Amazon
Web Services, plus tools for writing SilverLight applications to run
both on your desktop and on the web - both using Dyalog APL and APL#,
a "fully managed" interpreter for the Microsoft.Net framework, which
we are currently prototyping.

If you would be interested in attending, please write to me and let me
know what time you would be able to come - and any particular topics
of interest.

Unfortunately, the Volcano made it impossible for us to fly to the USA this week, so we won't be in Washington after all...
