3rd International APL Programming Contest for Students
Dyalog has the pleasure of announcing the start of the 2011 edition of our International APL Programming Contest for students. The deadline for submissions this year is August 14th, 2011. Links to the terms and conditions, and the tasks to be solved can be found at the bottom of http://www.dyalog.com/student-competition.htm.
The First Prize winner wil recive US$2,500 plus a round trip to the Dyalog '11 Conference in Boston Massachusetts, USA, during October 2-5 2011. In addition to the grand prize, second and third prizes will be awarded with $1,200 and $600 respectively and a further 20 contestants selected at random will receive $100 each.
Although only students are eligible to win prizes for solving the tasks, the person who introduced each of the winning students to the competition will receive the same value prize too. We would ask however that solutions to any of the problems are not posted on the Forums..
Many thanks to our sponsors, who include Fiserv, APL Italiana, Simcorp, Dyalog and several anonymous individuals and companies. Our thanks go too to Ryan Tarpine, last year's winner, who has created this year's problems.
Please spread the word about the competition - we would all like to see more people get involved with APL.
For those who take up the challenge, good luck, and enjoy discovering and using APL !
