Only Four days to go.
It's an open agenda but there's plenty to discuss.
Iverson College was only a couple of weeks ago.
Dyalog'12 is only a few weeks away.
There's a revival of interest in Vector.
The Albion has a number of new guest Ales.
And the November Symposium will be our fourth anniversary.

Among the discussions were...

Gert Moller describing his work (with Mike Hughes) investigating how gene mapping works as an indicator for medical conditions - and hence to appropriate treatments. On the technical side this combines the inherently array-based nature of the data with the computational possibilities of GPUs for parallel computations.

Dan Baronet showed some of the tools he has developed to simplify the generation of WPF-based GUIs; including one which creates XAML files from APL expressions.

The next symposium will be held in late October, Phil Last will be announcing the exact date, time and place.

If you have anything you'd like to discuss with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable group of APLers, please let Phil have the details - we are open to anything and everything APL-related.

This brief summary has been crossposted to comp.lang.apl, Dyalog's forum and the APLX forum - please feel welcome to propogate it further wherever you think there are people who would like to know more about the state of APL in the present day.
