Dyalog '13 Videos - week 4
This week's conference videos concern the next generation of APLers. Go to http://www.dyalog.com/user-meetings/dyalog13.htm to read about Dyalog ’13 and follow the links to the videos – in response to your feedback, the conference and video pages have been adjusted slightly and should now look better when viewed on your "Phablets" and smaller screens.
• In "Computer Science Outreach and Education with APL", Aaron Hsu takes us through the high school programme he has been running that introduces new computer science students to APL. He explains the theoretical foundations that drove the design of the programme and the initial findings, some of which are rather surprising…
• Yanqing Chen of the State University of New York won the 2013 International APL Problem Solving Competition – he explains how he achieved this success in "How I Won the Dyalog Programming Contest".
There will be further updates next Friday highlighting the new videos for the week. If you have any requests for specific videos that you’d like to see sooner rather than later then please let us know at conference@dyalog.com and we’ll see what we can do.
Thanks. Fi
P.S. Last few days to enter the Poster Competition (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=597) and win a ticket to Dyalog '14 – entries must be in by December 1st.
