• Illse Nell presented Riskflow’s "Cash Flow Optimizer", an application aimed at improving the financial literacy of individuals as well as medium, small and micro enterprises. She takes us through the evolution of the Cash Flow Optimizer, from initial concept to release, and highlights some of the pitfalls that can result from a lack of financial awareness. A quarter of South Africans are currently unemployed, and the Cash Flow Optimiser supports the South African Government’s initiative to establish economic growth via entrepreneurial development. • The three blind mice (James Greeley, Sam Gutsell and Shaquil Sidiki) have now completed their apprenticeships at Optima Systems and progressed to junior developer status. "The Three Blind Pis" shows the projects that they have developed along the way as part of their learning experience using Dyalog APL, MiServer and the Raspberry Pi.
