Problems using Clear WS Search Tool
In a clear workspace when I attempt to search for an undefined object Dyalog APL Crashes with the following message launhed in the fatal error window
Dyalog APL/W version 13.1.128810 / 32 /Unicode
A fatal error occured Dualog APL cannon continue - In worspace (process ID 2756) Suserror: 999 code 22 - Interperter BuildID )xde5c3b8F Interpeter Created Apr 19 2012 at 18:38:57 Serial Number 500788 .... APL Statck trace-> <-End of APL Stack trace.
Because I'm a non commercial user, I'm not sure that I have a method to report such problems, but would like to pass it on to your development group for your review.
I am running Dyalog APL on a Dell Inspiron N5110 64 bit laptop and can cuase this crash in a number of ways when attempting a search using your tool bar.

Re: Problems using Clear WS Search Tool
Hello JJW,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
You can email the aplcore generated by the syserror to us at Dyalog Support, support@dyalog.com
Also, in your email, please tell us how you produce this syserror. What do you type into the WS search tool? What is ticked?
By the way, I shall move this topic to another forum after we hear from you.
Regards,
Vince

Re: Problems using Clear WS Search Tool
Thanks,
I'll submit this to support.
But to answer your immediate question,
In a clear ws I click on the magnifier icon in the search cool band to bring up the "Find Object" Window,
Click on the "Name/Location" Tab, Enter an undefined character in the "Named" Edit box
and # in the "Look In" Edit box.
Then I click the "Find Now" Button which immediately brings up the "A fatal error has occurred. Dyalog APL cannot continue."
Window with the following information, which then abends my Dyalog APL Development session.
A fatal error has occurred. Dyalog APL cannot continue.
In workspace (process ID:16480)
Syserror: 999 code: 22
Interpreter BuildID: 0xde5c3b8f
Interpreter Created: Apr 19 2012 at 18:38:57
Interpreter Version 13.1.12881.0 / 32 / Unicode
Serial Number : 500788
If you choose to generate an aplcore, it will be saved as: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dyalog\Dyalog APL 13.1 Unicode\aplcore".
It may be possible to retrieve objects from this file using:
)COPY C:\Program Files (x86)\Dyalog\Dyalog APL 13.1 Unicode\aplcore.
I also can provide the aplcore, if you need it.
Thanks,
JJW
